Weapons (2025)★ 7.6/10

I almost fell asleep during the first two chapters of this ensemble film. 🥱 But when I resumed the next day with the third chapter, I suddenly understood the structure and it became fun to piece the puzzle together.
I was surprised about the gore but all in all, it’s a good horror movie.

Quede sin palabras, eso si que buen esfuerzo le pusieron en la produccion con las escenas jevis

Pay off at the end didn't feel scary so... meh

interesting

Definitely not for faint hearted

I love how they used different character perspectives. And the ending was :O

Es una buena película llena de misterio, aunque con un guión un poco faltó de estructura, las imágenes son buenas, salta muy rápido, deja al espectador en blanco del resto me parece bien.

is very nice

While some scenes from the film lingers in my mind—the children’s vacant stares, their odd way of running, and a few unsettlingly bloody sequences—the overall narrative is surprisingly plain. Its suspense relies almost entirely on a multi-perspective structure in the early acts; stripped of that, the film would have very little tension left to sustain itself.

By opening with the disappearance of a child, "Weapons" immediately hooks its audience, suggesting a connection to weighty social issues like school shootings, child trafficking, or pedophilia. Yet it quickly becomes apparent that the film has no real interest in exploring these themes and is instead a straightforward supernatural horror story centered on a curse.
