This 2D animation in "Orion and the Dark" effortlessly combines the aesthetics of color pencil drawings with 3D animation. The concept is fantastic, bringing abstract ideas such as darkness, tranquility, and dreams, to life, all seen through the eyes of a young boy on a journey. While the concept is intriguing, the overall storytelling lacks that captivating quality. Thankfully, the subplot involving the young girl on a mission to save her father is quite interesting. I'd give it a 7.0/10.

The concept is solid, with hints of "Inside Out." It's basically a family flick following a tale passed down through three generations, with these intertwined dynamics. However, the whole production feels a bit cluttered, and the character growth seems forced. Honestly, it's not as good as I'd hoped.

The story in "Orion and the Dark" is cleverly crafted, reminiscent of the character design in Pixar's "Inside Out" and the adorable Baymax from "Big Hero 6." Moreover, it presents a fresh narrative in a setting appropriate for children.

An animated film written by Charlie Kaufman? Amazing. A story that has no problem dealing with existentialist themes, while offering a beautiful and tender look at a parent-child relationship, and above all, that fear is both good and normal! The character of Dark is so joyful and huggable, and the gag about Werner Herzog had me laughing out loud!
