The synopsis was so reserved that it made my eyes widen in surprise when I watched the actual film.

Almodóvar once again moved me. He addresses the traumatic experiences of abandonment and violation that women face, and extends this to historical incidents, creating a connection between the present and the past. Blood ties are undeniable, and so is history. Only by confronting these painful memories can we have a chance at healing.

Parallel Mothers is a well executed job by Pedro Almodóvar. Although it is true that between the two main plots there is a lack of cohesion and sometimes it is excessive with the twists or with the number of ideas that the director wants to deal with, it is still an interesting film with a story that hooks and an emotional, intense and deep ending. .

Tinha tudo para ser um dos melhores do ano. É uma pena que o conflito principal seja solucionado de forma anticlimática e o foco mude totalmente para outro problema no terço final.
Para algo que sim, é importante para a protagonista, mas não para o público, que doou todo o seu engajamento para outra coisa no decorrer da história.

Sigo me apaixonando mais e mais por Almodóvar! A cada filme que vejo é uma explosão mental! Pra mim é tipo um Gabriel García Marquez do cinema.

Mesmo me sentindo decepcionado nos últimos 20 minutos, Madres Paralelas é um drama forte e comovente, que faz perguntas difíceis para as quais não há respostas claras. Penélope Cruz excelente!! #Almodóvar ❤
