FastAndActionJuly 10, 2025As a horror film that truly deserves its place in history, it’s not just the atmosphere and suspense that stand out, but the depth of character emotion that really hits hard. With Jerry Goldsmith’s score, Rome is no longer the romantic meeting place—it’s where the nightmare begins.

SuperMovieJuly 10, 2025The movie is really good. The soundtrack carries a sense of fatalism and holiness. Many scenes are incredibly striking—the sky is clear, then suddenly thunder, lightning, and strong winds roll in—only for the sun to shine again once the goal is achieved. In this film, is God just watching, or is he unable to intervene? Or maybe it’s all fate, nothing can be changed? A seemingly perfect couple with a thriving career, flawless lives—but that perfection hides a trap laid in the shadows. The end of humanity feels inevitable, as if it’s written in the stars.

guga-GFebruary 10, 2025"The Omen" is a meticulously crafted horror classic in terms of audiovisual storytelling. Subtle details stand out, such as the husband’s indifference to his wife’s injury, focusing solely on the child. This depicts the wife as merely a vessel for reproduction. Similarly, the child’s relationship with the mother is framed as a token of her status. Beneath the polished exterior of a family lies coldness and distortion. The devil’s birth is not a matter of fate but a reflection of the alienation in human relationships.

Anita_OrtizFebruary 8, 2025This classic remains unmatched as the pinnacle of films about the birth of the devil. Though its narrative and scenes have been imitated countless times, the original's storytelling still feels masterfully paced, with information revealed gradually and deliberately. The atmospheric tension—such as the storm before the priest’s death or the chilling unease in the Jerusalem graveyard scene—is unparalleled. And, of course, the iconic closing shot of the child’s eerie smile has become a hallmark, inspiring countless imitators.

Grant_EspinozaOctober 14, 2024Jerry Goldsmith’s symphony with apocalyptic vibes won the Oscar for Best Original Score, and Gilbert Taylor’s cinematography was instrumental in creating the film’s chilling atmosphere. His use of point-of-view shots, low angles, and zoom techniques helped establish an iconic visual style, later referenced in films like "The Shining" and "Final Destination." Elements such as the child on a tricycle and the ominous 666 motif have been repeatedly echoed in later horror films.

Alea_WillisOctober 14, 2024As a classic horror film, "The Omen" has earned its place in history for good reason. Beyond its eerie atmosphere and suspense, the film’s emotional depth makes characters' transformations even more bone-chilling. Accompanied by Jerry Goldsmith’s haunting score, Gregory Peck’s Rome is no longer the city of serendipitous encounters but where nightmares begin.
