The entire film is driven by a humorous main theme, with bloodshed that isn't overly grotesque and violent. It’s the straightforward tale of a guy traveling back in time to defeat demons and save others. With no flashy CGI, it remains breezy and fun, never too exhausting to watch. Given its budget and era, it boasts a distinctive charm.

I binge-watched the Evil Dead trilogy all at once, and the third installment morphs into a medieval time-travel fantasy. Bruce Campbell goes from the suave leading man in the first film to the slapstick action hero here, which itself is hilarious. The ending had me laughing and cringing at the same time.
