Impacto profundo (1998)★ 6.6/10

Con actuaciones de Téa Leoni y Morgan Freeman, esta película de catástrofes y meteoritos fue reconocida por la comunidad científica como acertada y plausible, lo cual la hace mucho más aterradora que otras películas similares.

The story is compelling and the characters are driven, but I was expecting a bit more of action or disastrous sequences. Although, the scenes which rely on special effects are quite good considering the 2 hour long duration. This film gave more an impression of a drama rather than a survival sci-fi, which is why maybe it could be half an hour shorter.

A contemporary classic. Watched it when I was a kid, and am happy to find out it stands the test of time.

With performances by Téa Leoni and Morgan Freeman, this meteorite catastrophe film was recognized by the scientific community as accurate and plausible, which makes it far more terrifying than other similar films.
