If anyone takes this historical drama full of coincidences and plot twists seriously, Verhoeven would probably laugh himself awake in his sleep. He ironically combines almost every cliché from Nazi-Jewish themes to create a work called "How to Survive in a World Full of Assholes". Moral issues? Not even worth mentioning in his work. Who has the time to talk about morality when there's nudity on screen? So, in his world, there are good Nazis in this movie, and even the resistance group is full of assholes. The only real takeaway here is: the heroine is a total winner in life.

This movie starts off feeling like "Schindler's List", then transitions into "Lust, Caution" in the middle, takes a turn into "Malèna" in the second half, and wraps up like "Detective Conan". If you watch it, you'll know exactly what I mean.
