Skins (2007)★ 8.5/10

This series is melancholic but grounded in the reality of many. In this show, we witness various serious issues experienced by teenagers firsthand. Nevertheless, I find it comforting because amidst all the chaos, they forge bonds and support each other. Not every moment is entirely melancholic because, after all, they are just teenagers. The positive aspect is that these themes remain relevant even today.

This really is a teen classic and it was interesting to watch the development in thought and awareness of real teenagers come through in the script and characters as the seasons went on. The storylines are engaging, relatable, the dialogues are quirky, meanwhile it dealing with real-life issues and situations in a rather raw tone at times. It's very intriguing, and still enjoyable to watch. Recommend.

Hermosa
