Love this show, I was hesitant to watch, because I'm not a gaming person, as you all prob know it's based on the game. But wow did it blow my mind. First and second season are amazing! Can't stop watching once I start. Highly recommended.

"The Last of Us is not just a series about zombies... it is a love letter to broken humanity, where even the end of the world cannot kill the need to protect, feel and, against all logic, continue to love. Joel didn't save the world, but he saved his own. And that, sometimes, is more than enough.”

The first five episodes of "The Last of Us" are virtually flawless, featuring rich emotions, top-notch artistic execution, interesting POV shots, and a well-measured pace reminiscent of road movies. It strikes a wonderful balance between staying true to the source material and making necessary adaptations. However, the latter four episodes gradually lose their appeal under a formulaic approach, and the reduction in action elements leads to a progressively duller narrative.

"The Last of Us" remains faithful to the original game, with only minor alterations to the plot that are largely inconsequential. Efforts to accommodate viewers unfamiliar with the game are evident, and despite my personal reservations about the casting choices, the show is engaging overall. I eagerly anticipate the next season.

I’m kinda disappointed. Besides the first and third episodes, the rest felt rushed, almost like they were just ticking off plot points and trying to faithfully recreate the important moments and emotions from the original game. But in the process, the characters seemed to just be pulled along by the story, with no room for real growth, like they were just tools to move things forward. I was hoping for a more gradual unfolding of the story, but it ended up feeling like fast food TV. Honestly, I’m not looking forward to the second season.

Episode 3 is just mind-blowing—I'd rate the whole series a perfect score because of it. Every aspect, from the themes and messages to the production quality, is top-notch. It's pretty incredible how HBO turned a post-apocalyptic survival game into such an amazing drama. It also makes me think that Joel and Tess must have had an awesome 20 years living together.

So awesome I can't even explain. With a subject that could feel so overdone, it just manages to feel natural and engaging. Unrelated: how to not fall in love with Pedro Pascal?

Well done, it wasn’t my type of film at first, because I like Pepe very much after watching Cage’s Genius, so I just watched it to see what roles Pepe got recently, I didn’t expect to shoot. It must be so attractive! The first episode has been 1h20mins. In regions with high production standards of TV dramas, it is becoming more and more difficult to distinguish the difference between TV dramas and movies. I really admire that it is not because of the production It is the creators who lower their standards in the genre of TV broadcasting, and the boundaries of art are broken by these people who are the most stubborn and respect their own creations.

A Console Game Fan Is Satisfied with TV Version

The TV series is fully respecting the game itself, and the detail changing of the plot was innocuously. It can be seen that the crew has tried my best to take care of ordinary viewers who are not familiar with the game. Although the casting is really not my favorite, Pedro Pascal is not bad to be Joel Miller, but Bella Ramsey is really not good as Ellie, besides she looks like Elliot Page a lot. The series was dedicated with emotions, the story was under the grand proposition, there is no problem in taking pictures with humane thinking. There is another upcoming TV series The Mandalorian season 3 by Pedro Pascal in March.
