The pacing is similar to "Lost" by starting with a shocking and mysterious opener, but the series fails to provide clear reasons for the events, and the plot becomes increasingly convoluted, leaving viewers perplexed.

Reminiscent of "The 4400" from a decade ago, but with too much emphasis on ethics and not enough suspense. It lacks appeal, and probably won't match the popularity of "The 4400" across all its seasons. "Manifest" likely won't go beyond the first season.

The plot's premise about a flight mysteriously disappearing for five years before reappearing was intriguing. The entire season felt somewhat reminiscent of "LOST," mixing mystery, magic, conspiracy, and romance, along with "Sense8", including elements of synesthesia. However, it failed to resolve the mysteries, perhaps deliberately.

The pilot episode was intriguing, but it seems like the writers weren't prepared to extend the series, leading to the latter half of the season being all fluff. Character relationships became increasingly confusing, making the second season unwatchable.

Every time I look forward to discussing the potential plot progression with friends, the series only serves to prove me wrong and veers towards dullness every time instead.

I like this genre, but unfortunately, the character development in such genre always fails. This series is no exception, with every character being an uninspired stereotype, which shows a lack of real-life experience on the part of the scriptwriters.

Sad

I can’t imagine how frustrating must be to someone if they literally lose years of their lives. Seeing them trying to get everything back, while getting used to the new stuff, is painful.
