Charlie Heaton is an English actor whose artistic path began in London’s music scene, performing as a drummer before shifting to screen work through extras and commercial agencies. He gained early television experience in British dramas, refining his craft through on-set practice rather than formal training. His role as Jonathan Byers in Stranger Things marked a turning point, establishing long-term collaboration within a large ensemble. Heaton expanded into film with projects such as As You Are and The New Mutants, using each medium to broaden his range and adapt his working methods.
