Ivan_SanchezAugust 6, 2025Where "From Hell" succeeds is in its immersive world-building. The film paints a compelling portrait of Victorian London, vividly illustrating class divides, social unrest, and the daily realities of its inhabitants. The transitions between scenes are fluid, and the compositions are strikingly well-framed.

Patrick_HaleJuly 31, 2025One of the film’s weakest points lies in its superficial approach to mystery-solving. Instead of relying on methodical investigation, it grants Johnny Depp’s character a supernatural ability to foresee crime scenes, which undercuts the credibility of a historical detective story and signals a lack of narrative sincerity.
