After a brief setup, the film launches into an unrelenting climax, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats throughout. Its greatest strength lies in its attention to the tactical details of warfare. Despite the complexity of the battlefield, the audience is never lost—thanks to masterful editing and Ridley Scott’s precise direction. However, some of the forced dramatic beats, clearly added to “elevate” the theme, feel unnecessary and overindulgent.

At two and a half hours, there's barely any memorable characters, much less a plot. The intent to meticulously recreate a battle isn’t inherently flawed, but when nearly the entire film consists of relentless gunfire with little thematic depth, it ends up feeling narrow in scope.

Another US military propaganda. But the action is good.

A Great Movie But…

The movie dodges the fact that the Clinton administration's invasion of Somalia in 1993 killed an estimated 6,000 to 10,000 people, two-thirds of which were women and children.
