It's a heartwarming story, bringing both laughter and tears. The actors did an excellent job in making every expression and smile feel completely natural, and the dialogue came across as uncontrived. It's a simple story that could easily happen around us, while also serving as a timely reminder to cherish those around us.

It's another Argentinian classic that I haven't seen before. It's entertaining and fast-paced, with outstanding performances and a couple of deep dialogues that really resonate when you take a moment to think about them. Yet, it still keeps its characteristic humor. Overall, it's just a nice dramedy, plain and simple.

The film's greatness is found in its charismatic and well-developed characters. Clearly, Darin's character is the most crucial and extensively developed, while the mother, father, ex-wife, girlfriend, and the childhood friend are not far behind. Each of them has an intriguing backstory, making it possible for anyone to relate to them.

It has everything, from uproarious laughter to tears. It could fit into the category of a romantic comedy full of twists and turns, or a weighty drama about illness, but in reality, it encompasses all of these elements and more - love, family, death, forgetfulness, friendship - you name it. It seems implausible for comedy and drama to coexist in such a tough personal and family circumstance. Yet there are films that pull it off perfectly, which is why we cherish cinema and especially the work of Juan José Campanella.

This Oscar-nominated slice of a mid-life crisis from Argentina is a solid film anchored by realism and great acting. Although the main story is just about a man trying to figure out his life and find himself, for me, the most emotional part was the story of his parents. I’m sure I would’ve enjoyed it more if the entire film had focused more on their bittersweet story because something as simple as her offering of a butter cookie to the priest nearly destroyed me.

This movie will make you ugly cry

It is undoubtedly a great Campanella masterpiece, which transmits a very strong and direct message, that is, that we must never give up and that we must always fight for the people we love and for our dreams to come true. In addition, that the most precious thing that one can have in his life is the family.
