marcelao-34904July 3, 2025"Puss in Boots" remains a stellar animated feature. From the direction to the score, everything clicks. It’s the kind of film that resonates with kids and adults alike. The themes of mortality and purpose are woven into a thrilling adventure with well-rounded characters.

CECÍLIA_DORESJune 30, 2025Every character is adorable, and the animation is a major step up from the first film. Rather than another swashbuckling romp, this sequel dives into a deeper territory—life, death, and appreciating the present. The feel-good ending is formulaic, but its sentimentality is acceptable.

mosomisoSeptember 11, 2024If "Puss in Boots" was a pleasant surprise, then "The Last Wish" is a worthy continuation. While the theme of a hero confronting and overcoming personal struggles in their later years isn’t new, the film uses the treasure hunt trope to explore it in an engaging and vivid way. The characters are distinct, and the story feels rich and sincere, showing DreamWorks’ commitment to quality.

MinliuzSeptember 11, 2024I’ve always believed that truly great family animations cater to viewers of all ages, and this film is no exception. Children will find familiar fairy tales, adorable characters, and exciting adventures they love. Meanwhile, adults can appreciate deeper reflections on life, such as the pursuit of fame and the fear of death. It’s a fantastic film that works on multiple levels.

Mandd91March 16, 2024If the first film was a delightful surprise, then the second is a continuation of the good quality. The heroes confront and overcome their inner struggles in their later years. Although not a fresh topic, the movie vividly portrays the theme through a treasure hunt narrative. The movie's strength lies in its well-rounded characters and satisfying story, which are a testament to DreamWorks' dedication. The little dog in particular steals the spotlight and adds a lot of charm to the movie.

AntonianiaMarch 16, 2024I've always believed that truly excellent animated films can cater to every age group. "Puss 2" offers familiar fairy tales, adorable characters, and exciting adventures for children, while adults can see reflections on life, the pursuit of honor, the fear of death, and more. The story of four groups seeking the Wishing Star is depicted through a changing map, showcasing various ongoing adventures. Many fight scenes use frame-by-frame animation and comic book elements, resembling Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Overall, it's much better than the previous installment, with far more detailed fur and cuteness. Describing it as "magnificent" is not an exaggeration; it's the best animated film I've seen this year.
