This show introduced my new favorite Belle. I love Emma Watson, but Julia Lester was meant to be the character. She has the voice, the charisma and the passion. I hope we can see her in a big role next season again.

Season 2 is bigger and better. The new settings and characters made the story become even more interesting. This “battle” of two school has a Glee vibe, which I love and missed. The new original songs are as good as they were last season, and the new versions of Beauty and Beast are amazing, they gave them a necessary freshness.

The problem with season 2 is that they lost the essence of the show, which was performing High School Musical. I was hoping they would do the entire trilogy before choosing other musicals, but they decided to bring Beauty and the Beast already in season 2. It’s not bad, just anticlimactic.

I really like how this show works alone. You don’t need to watch the movies to understand what’s going on. But, if you did, there are great easter eggs, like Miss Jenn buying Gabriela’s phone on season one hahaha
