Lanterns on HBO is either going to be great, or a train wreck.

This show has been in development as far back as 2019, albeit as a totally different concept. Somewhere along the line Damon Lindeloff got involved, and I have to say that I absolutely loved his take on Watchmen. He shares ‘created by’ credit with a couple other writers. While the original show was going to be way more hero and space focused, this version is apparently very grounded. Inspired by things like True Detective, and Slow Horses.  Add in Kyle Chandler, who I've loved ever since Friday Night Lights, and I'm not afraid to admit I'm pretty stoked for this.
