What's a movie you hate that everyone praises?

I don't mean movie you didn't get, I mean a movie you HATE.

 

For me, Raging Bull. I hate it so much. I've seen it twice, tried to get it. But it's just AWFUL. Another is a Bronx Tale; there's no way you guys actually like that movie. It sucks cause both of these are De Niro movies and he's my favourite actor… but the hating is just within me.

Weird Science was one of the first Arrow Blu-Rays I ever bought... I turned it off after 30 minutes and traded it in at Videomatica for a $10 credit. Couldn't get it off my shelf fast enough.

I don't necessarily hate it, but Good Will Hunting felt overrated to me; it's a good, simple story and I'll rewatch it but I feel like it was definitely overpraised

That’s a tough one, I can’t think of a movie that I, like, really hate. But for all it’s worth, recently I watched in cinemas a couple Studio Ghibli films and didn’t like as much as I thought I would both Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle. I preferred much more My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service.</br>Also, I don’t really think of nothing special about La La Land, I think The Greatest Showman is much cooler.

I'm also not a fan or Raging Bull. Don't hate it as much as you, but I get it. I felt similarly about Annie Hall. The filmmaking is great, but the story itself really irritated me

I agree about Bronx Tale... But raging bull? Listen, I get it. I didn't like it when I first watched it too. Jake Lamotta is so unlikable, like no redeeming qualities whatsoever. But then on my second watch it all clicked and I saw it. Been one of my favourites ever since.
