Anyone feel like the romance subplot in F1 was awkward n unnecessary?

That’s how I felt watching it. I left a comment for an article and someone replied that the director planned to develop it more in a sequel if the film did well - which just sounds like an excuse to me. Awkward is awkward.

Do you feel the same way, or do you think the director made the right call?

If you’re in the latter camp, how would you like their relationship to develop without taking away from the main plot or hurting Sofia’s character?

Yes, but I have seen worse, so oh well LOL. Check out Dragged Across Concrete first scene. That movie had me and my then girlfriend feel like we were dragged across concrete.

Totally yes, but it doesn't ruin the movie for me either

Overall, yeah. But I really liked how they built up to the scene through the blackjack game.

Plus, they're both hot as hell, so can you blame either of them??

yessss I liked the film overall, but it felt super millennial/genx romance idk. same with top gun. I liked the girl a lot, but they didn't need to force a dumbass relationship.

Yupppp, I did not like it at all. Literally romance for romance sake, and a huge waste of time in a movie that could've spent those minutes on some better character development

I NID THEM FAST AND FURIOUS ACTION (why do every film need romance anyways)
