What's your favourite movie from the year you were born?

My favourite has to be The Two Towers, but Catch Me If You Can is a very close second. Interesting to see which movies are the same age as me. Highly recommend a Google.

It's hard to choose just one! After Hours, To Live and to Die in LA, Re-Animator, Police Story, Demons, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Taipei Story, Typhoon Club and Witness are all up there among my favourite movies!

Some very good movies came out the year I was born. Risky Business, Scarface, Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, The Right Stuff, The Big Chill, and Terms of Endearment to name a few. </br></br>There were also some franchises in full flight with Superman 3, Jaws 3, James Bond Octopussy, and even Psycho 2. </br></br>However, for favourites I have to pick two. First, the movie I loved most as a kid, and by for the one from this year that I've seen more than any other is Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Second, the movie I've come to admire most from this year is the quiet Robert Duvall film about a washed up country singer, Tender Mercies.
