Friendship Trailer - Um, what is this even supposed to be?

I just watched the trailer for Friendship and I need to see this movie right now. It looks like the most bizarre, hilarious, potentially even scary, thing that's come out in a while.

Tim Robinson  is a comedic genius, but part of that genius is deeply rooted in an intense strangeness. At the beginning of the trailer you can hear Paul Rudd doing his Brian Fantana voice which clearly seems to lead us down the comedy road, but then things get weird.

Take a look and let me know what you think.

You can find the trailer on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/cmSPwZIZu6Y?si=fQYaZ0BiGo7HIzAq

It looks like a really long I Think You Should Leave sketch.

Replying to Keanen Tregaskis: I agree, but I think I’m okay with that.

I watched the trailer just this morning! It looks *hilarious*, but more importantly I definitely identify with both the "oops I didn't mean to become your friend" and the "I am clinging to you whether you like it or not" energy. I am SO looking forward to it!

Replying to marvelousmars: I think anyone who denies being on at least one end of that kind of relationship, is definitely lying.

Humble brag, I've seen it already. It's funnier and more absurd than you even think it will be!

I can't wait for this. Even if it feels similar to I Love You Man, I know that Tim Robinson will take it in a totally new, and probably insane, direction.
