Jobby the Troll

Sci-fi

THE FIVE REALMS WERE NEVER MEANT TO TOUCH

In the beginning, the realms were separated by purpose, not distance.

Each one held its own laws, its own magic, its own memory.

Balance was maintained by the fey — the ancient wardens of boundaries — whose bloodlines carried the instinct to guard what must remain apart.

But there was another species born in the deep places of creation.

A species whose very existence contradicted the fey.

Trolls.

Not monsters.

Not brutes.

Not creatures of hunger or cruelty.

Beings of rupture.

Living fault lines.

Walking pressure points in the fabric of reality.

Where fey maintained boundaries, trolls broke them.

Where fey stabilized magic, trolls destabilized it.

Where fey anchored realms, trolls tore holes between them.

A troll did not need to try to open a portal.

A troll simply was a portal waiting to happen.

Their bodies generated dimensional pressure the way storms generate lightning.

Their emotions created rifts the way earthquakes create cracks.

Their instincts tore open passages between realms without meaning to.

A startled troll could open a ripple.

An angry troll could open a tear.

A grieving troll could open a tunnel.

A curious troll could open a window.

And a focused troll — one who learned to aim their rupture — could open a door wide enough to swallow a world.

This was the origin of the ancient war.

The fey did not hunt trolls out of cruelty.

They hunted them because trolls were the one species capable of collapsing the entire cosmology.

Every realm depended on separation.

Trolls threatened that separation simply by existing.

The fey evolved a defense.

Their monstrous form — the discorded, ugly, terrifying shape they shift into when cornered — was not a glamour glitch.

It was anti-portal armor.

A biological anchor.

A dimensional lock.

A form designed to resist being dragged through a troll’s rupture.

In monstrous form, a fey’s magical density increases.

Their essence stabilizes.

Their identity locks.

Their glamour becomes unbreakable.

Their realm-anchoring becomes absolute.

It is the fey’s way of saying:

You cannot move me.

The war was not about dominance.

It was about containment.

It was about preventing collapse.

And for a time, the fey succeeded.

The trolls were pushed back into the deep realm — the realm of rupture — sealed behind ancient laws and forgotten boundaries.

But nothing stays sealed forever.

🌒 THE MERGING BEGINS

The five realms begin to thin.

Not because of trolls — not at first — but because of time, trauma, and imbalance.

The spirit realm stirs.

The echo realm hums.

The guardian realm awakens.

The old fey realm remembers.

The physical realm strains under the weight of magic it was never meant to hold.

And then the children are born.

Children with bloodlines that were never meant to coexist.

Children who carry human empathy, fey perception, guardian resonance, echo sensitivity, and spirit alignment all at once.

Children who are not just alive — they are anchors.

Living bridges.

Signals across all five realms.

Their birth is a bell ringing through creation.

The merging accelerates.

Spirits slip through.

Magic flares.

Old laws reactivate.

Echoes intensify.

Boundaries thin.

The deep realm stirs.

And somewhere in the dark places between realms, trolls begin to wake.

Not because they choose to.

Not because they seek war.

But because the merging pulls them toward the cracks.

Trolls are rupture.

Where boundaries weaken, trolls appear.

🌕 THE NEW AGE

The next generation is born into a world where realms overlap.

Children who slip between realms without meaning to.

Children who feel laws older than language.

Children who hear voices from places that were never meant to touch.

Children who sense the troll realm stirring.

And the guardians — those whose bloodlines once protected the boundaries — must rise again.

Not as soldiers.

Not as hunters.

But as teachers.

Because the merging is not a disaster.

It is a transformation.

The realms are not collapsing.

They are converging.

They are becoming something new.

But convergence attracts rupture.

And rupture attracts trolls.

The old war is waking.

Not to repeat itself — but to finish what it began.

The guardians must teach the next generation how to survive a world where boundaries no longer exist.

Power is sacred, but not salvation.

Love is real, but cannot replace identity.

Mercy is strength.

Letting go is sometimes the only way to protect what you love.

Every realm has its own rules.

Every rule has a cost.

The dead are not gone — they are transformed.

The living must choose who they become.

This is the new age.

This is your continuation.

🌑 Jobby the Troll

The Rupture born

Jobby was born in the Deep Realm, where light fractures and shadows hum with pressure. Trolls are rupture by nature, but Jobby was different from the moment he opened his eyes.

Most trolls tear holes in reality without meaning to.

Jobby felt the holes.

He could sense the thin places.

He could hear the hum of merging realms.

He could taste the pressure before a portal formed.

Where other trolls caused chaos, Jobby felt responsibility.

He was the first troll in generations who understood that rupture wasn’t just instinct — it was power, and power had consequences.

His Origin

Jobby was born during a rare celestial alignment — When the five realms briefly touched, a surge of energy rippled through the Deep Realm, and Jobby absorbed it.

That surge changed him.

It gave him:

awareness of boundaries

sensitivity to realm pressurecontrol over rupturethe ability to open portals intentionally

He became the troll the fey feared most — not because he was dangerous, but because he could choose.

His Conflict

Jobby is a troll who doesn’t want war.

He wants understanding.

He wants to know why the realms were separated.

He wants to know why trolls were born rupture.

He wants to know why the fey evolved anchors.

He wants to know what the merging means.

But the realms are thinning.

The children are awakening.

The old war is stirring.

And Jobby stands at the center of it — a being who can either stabilize the merging or accelerate it.

His Destiny

Jobby becomes the first troll to step into the Convergence — the place where all realms touch.

He is the one who must decide whether rupture is destruction or transformation.

He is the troll who can open the door.

He is the troll who can close it.

He is the troll who can walk between all realms without losing himself.

He is the troll who might save the cosmology — or break it.

🌕 Suree the Fae

The Boundary born

Suree was born in the Luminous Realm, where light bends into memory and every breath carries the weight of ancient law.

The fey are the wardens of separation, the keepers of balance, the ones who maintain the walls between realms.

But Suree was not like the others.

Most fey feel boundaries as rules.

Suree felt them as living things.

She could hear the hum of the walls between realms.

She could sense when a boundary weakened.

She could feel the pressure of a portal forming long before it opened.

Where Jobby felt rupture, Suree felt strain.

Where Jobby sensed possibility, Suree sensed danger.

They were opposites by nature — and mirrors by destiny.

🌒 Origin

Suree was born during the same celestial alignment that created Jobby.

The fey elders called her a Threshold Child, marked by the convergence of realms.

Her birth awakened old instincts in the fey:

the monstrous anchor formthe ancient lawsthe guardian bloodlinethe memory of the troll war.

Suree carried all of it in her bones.

She was the first fey in centuries who could shift into her anchor form without fear, without panic, without being cornered.

She could anchor herself at will — a living lock against rupture.

This made her dangerous.

This made her sacred.

This made her necessary.

🌑 Her Conflict

Suree is a fey who doesn’t trust destiny.

She knows the realms are merging.

She knows the boundaries are thinning.

She knows the trolls are waking.

She knows the children are being born with too much access.

And she knows one truth that terrifies her:

If the realms merge completely, the fey will lose their purpose.

Their entire existence is built on separation.

Their magic is built on balance.

Their identity is built on boundaries.

Suree is the only fey who can feel the merging from the inside — and she fears what it will turn her people into.

🌘 Her Destiny

Suree is the one fey who can stand at the Convergence without being torn apart.

She is the one who can anchor the merging long enough for the next generation to survive it.

But she cannot do it alone.

She needs Jobby — the ruptureborn — the troll who can open or close the door.

Together, they become the paradox the realms were never meant to hold:

He breaks.

She binds.

He opens.

She stabilizes.

He feels the cracks.

She feels the strain.

They are not enemies.

They are not allies.

They are the two halves of the merging itself.

And the realms respond to them.

🌑 THE KING OF RUPTURE RISES

The Deep Realm was never silent.

It breathed in pressure, exhaled distortion, and hummed with the low thunder of boundaries straining against themselves.

Tonight, the hum sharpened.

Tonight, the King was waking.

Jobby felt it before anyone else.

A pulse in the stone.

A tremor in the air.

A ripple in the cracks beneath his feet.

He froze, listening with the strange sensitivity that made him an anomaly among trolls.

The pressure wasn’t random.

It wasn’t instinctive.

It was commanded.

Only one troll could command rupture.

Dobby.

The Chaos King.

Jobby’s chest tightened.

He had never met Dobby, not truly.

He had seen him once from a distance — a silhouette crowned in distortion, reality bending around him like heat around flame.

But this pulse was different.

It wasn’t a warning.

It wasn’t anger.

It was a summons.

The stone split open before him, not violently, but with reverence.

A portal unfurled like a blooming wound, glowing with the colors of realms that were never meant to touch.

Jobby swallowed hard.

Dobby was calling him.

He stepped through.

The throne chamber of the Deep Realm was carved from pressure itself.

Walls twisted in slow spirals, as if the realm were breathing.

The floor rippled like cooled magma.

And at the center, on a throne made of fractured reality, sat Dobby.

He was nothing like the stories.

He was worse.

He was magnificent.

His skin shimmered with distortion, shifting between stone and shadow.

His eyes glowed with the light of ruptured portals.

His crown wasn’t metal — it was a ring of floating fractures, orbiting his head like broken moons.

“Jobby,” Dobby said, his voice bending the air.

“You feel the merging.”

Jobby nodded, unable to speak.

“You feel the cracks before they form.”

Another nod.

“You feel the pressure of realms touching.”

A third nod.

Dobby leaned forward, and the throne groaned under the weight of his power.

“Good,” he said.

“Because the fey have felt it too.”

Jobby’s heart lurched.

Suree.

He didn’t know her name yet, but he felt her presence — a distant anchor, a stabilizing force, a boundary humming in the Luminous Realm.

She was the opposite of everything he was.

And she was awake.

Dobby’s grin was slow and dangerous.

“The Boundary born rises,” he said.

“And when she does… the realms will choose sides.”

Jobby swallowed.

“Why call me?”

Dobby stood.

Reality bent.

“Because you are not like the others,”

the King said.

“You do not break blindly.

You do not rupture without thought.

You do not tear because you must.”

He stepped closer, distortion swirling around him like a storm.

“You are the only troll who understands the cost of opening a door.”

Jobby’s breath shook.

“And that,” Dobby whispered, “makes you the most dangerous troll alive.”

The throne room trembled.

The portals around the chamber flickered.

The merging pulsed through the Deep Realm like a heartbeat.

Dobby placed a hand on Jobby’s shoulder.

“Come, Ruptureborn,” he said.

“The realms are thinning.

The fey are stirring.

The Convergence approaches.”

His eyes burned brighter.

“And I will need you when the Boundaryborn arrives.”

The chamber cracked open, revealing a swirling horizon of realms colliding in the distance — light, shadow, spirit, echo, and deep pressure merging into a single impossible sky.

Jobby stared at it, terrified and awestruck.

Dobby smiled.

“Welcome,” he said, “to the beginning of the end.”
