The Ending of Stranger Things Is Near Perfect
General ReviewsAfter 10 years of watching a show of a group of kids playing DND in a basement and facing a terrible threat. Stranger Things left a generation full of rich and interesting characters, and also a world like the Upside Down.

Many people have complained about having a BIG FINALE, where most of the main characters die, and the villain is defeated in the most awesome way. Let‘s dive in:
It‘s not The Perfect Series Finale, But It Was The Right One
The finale has many flaws, not every ending has the right choices in storytelling. The Duffer Brothers opted to focus on the main characters journey and trying to defeat the one thing that made their life worse. Stranger Things has a way to end their seasons in a clever weird way, but the finale is not aboug big sacrifices, violent deaths or having something truly cruel affecting the rest of the story.
This finale was perfect for the audience and the characters, it was the one that concentrate into the whole point of the show: KIDS, ADOLESCENCE and ADULTHOOD.

The 2 hour running time was great
Ending your series with a 2 hour 8 minutes finale was a clever choice. It allowed the finale to breath and offer some resolutions to certain questions, and the Duffer Brothers explored the idea of having certain things to be answered. It was never slow, but it didn‘t need to be longer.

The Performances
As a series finale, you expect some big acting performances. Millie Bobby Brown is great as Eleven, offering some good scenes and chemistry with the main cast, allowing her to give the character a final blow into our minds.
Jamie Campbell Power is truly impeccable as Vecna/Henry, he channels into something much deeper and the menace in his eyes is something extraordinary, how he can express too much by looking into his eyes.
Caleb McLaughin, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, and the rest of the main cast give their all to the roles. By the other hand, Finn Wolfhard performance didn‘t gave his everything into his final goodbye, until the last scene. Wolfhard struggle during the whole episode to find his own way and channeling Mike through his teenage personality. As a kid, he was great, but as an adult, I think he needs some acting classes.
The Ending
The last scene where all the friends reunite one last time to play DND, instead going out to date hot girls and staying, playing, enjoying a part of his childhood. It represents the smooth transition into adulthood, into a life where all your friends can go away to chase life, and the things that we most cheerish about being kids will swept away into memories.
This is how growing feels like, one minute you‘re just a kid and the next you‘re looking at the next generation doing what you once did. This line represents the whole point of the show, how being kids and going into adventures and face the evil side of the world, and trying to save it.
People tend to forget what Stranger Things was all about: Friendship.
