Why Nobody 2 is the almost perfect sequel from the original
General ReviewsNobody 2 is the sequel from the original movie that stars Bob Odenkirk as Hutch, a former elite agent and mercenary, although his origins are unknown and he returns for a second part, this time he takes his family to vacation to a water park and decided to let go of his former self behind and his job assingments, he realizes that the evil lurkes in every corner he goes.

The film is a fun ride, just like the original movie, because it doesn‘t take itself too seriously. It delivers the goods, the fun, the thrilling and violent action sequences and even they tried to surprass in every level of gore and they did it. And that‘s a welcome addition to the lore.
I get why people dislike this movie and it didn‘t offered a good storyline to follow, it‘s a basic premise and a basic set up, with anything new and we only are here because of how good the action sequences are shot, but Nobody 2 fails to deliver a storyline that makes us care about the characters and the situations.

Bob Odenkirk offers his best work to date and cements himself as the New Liam Neeson and offers his best stunt work and versatility to the role. Christopher Lloyd is clearly having fun with the role and keep us engaging through the screen, but Sharon Stone gives a poweful performance as the villain, because it‘s almost too goofy to even try to scare and that‘s the beauty of this movies. Silly, but real fun and they know they‘re not the next Die Hard.
The direction of this movie feels more consistent and more interested in following the angles and shots between the hits between the characters and that was refreshing to see. Adding, the visual effects that are too self aware of what‘s happening, but at the same time, they are intentional. Even though, the storyline doesn‘t get there, the fun and the wild ride overcompensate the lack of storyline.
