Blue Lock (2022)★ 8.0/10

This anime intriguingly combines elements of a battle royale, sports, and LGBTQ+ themes, interweaving various topical issues. This well-drawn series certainly deserves its popularity.

Blue Lock demonstrates Japan's passion for football, offering a creative take on the sport that resonates well with viewers. The storyline is logical and engaging with its unique approach.

The overall pacing is good, and the characters are visually appealing. However, the plot lacks memorable moments, and the setting of the training camp is generally bland.

I only watched the first two episodes, and it was quite painful. While the specific training setups are rational, the overall value system is distorted

I disagree with the show's message. Be it anime or the sports themselves, they teach us the value of cooperation. Anime series like Slam Dunk, Haikyuu!!, and Aoashi focus on lead characters wearing "number ten" jerseys but highlight that scoring isn't everything. Instead, these series captivate us with their portrayal of team synergy, coordination, and personal growth.

Blue Lock presents a fascinating perspective and becomes increasingly compelling as the series progresses. I can't wait for the new episodes!. The portrayal of football skills and techniques is quite believable, things I think professional players could achieve, though the series falls short in illustrating the tactical aspects of football.

buen
