The Targaryen dynasty is at the absolute apex of its power, with more than 10 dragons under their yoke. Most empires crumble from such heights. In the case of the Targaryens, their slow fall begins when King Viserys breaks with a century of tradition by naming his daughter Rhaenyra heir to the Iron Throne. But when Viserys later fathers a son, the court is shocked when Rhaenyra retains her status as his heir, and seeds of division sow friction across the realm.

Season two was seriously slow-moving, and it was painful. Emma D'Arcy did a good job, but Olivia Cooke could improve. But I gotta give credit to the casting for Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, as they are definitely spot-on. They are so alike. The adult Rhaenyra still has that youthful energy but also a more mature calmness. And her eyes still have the same intensity and drive as the Young Princess Rhaenyra. Here's hoping the script gets an upgrade for next season. And a shout-out to Matt Smith; he killed it, too.

Season 2 just wrapped up, and it was weird how there weren't really any episodes that tied everything together. It was all about Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen growing up and Prince Daemon Targaryen showing his loyalty, plus some other stuff that was just kind of filler. And the main storyline was a bit of a letdown – it started off strong but fizzled out later. Maybe I was just expecting too much. The only climatic moments were when Princess Rhaenys Velaryon made that big sacrifice and when the army rallied behind Daemon's vow at the end. Now, I'm just hoping that Season 3 will be a total game-changer. 7.5/10 for Season 2.

Season 2 had its moments, but let's be real: The script could use some more work. From the stereotypical characters to the pacing issues and the way they introduced new plotlines, it felt pretty flawed at times. And I gotta say, the way they portrayed women as not ambitious and the black-and-white approach to power struggles just didn't sit right with me. It felt like a disrespect to both the audience and the characters. But I'm still looking forward to Season 3.

This show might not be for everyone, but I gotta admit, I love how they delve into the female lead's struggles with gender and power and her personal struggles within her relationships and emotions. I hope the writers don't lose that depth of humanity just to keep the story moving forward. So, I'm giving this show a solid 10 out of 10.

I'm sorry, but this season of the show has got to be the biggest letdown of the year. The characters just don't get well-developed at all, and the story goes on forever with a bunch of confusing, pointless scenes that feel like they're just there to make the episodes longer. It's so slow and boring. And to top it off, the only real war scene is this tiny part at the end of episode four, while the two big battles before that get barely any attention. In a nutshell, this season is just a huge disappointment.

The first episode had an intense plot despite the slow pacing. The second episode felt like a boring list of unrelated events with characters who didn't have much personality. I know they were setting up the story for later episodes, but developing characters without distinct personalities is pointless. So, I'd give it a 7 out of 10 for now and wait to see how the rest of the story goes.

Episode 2 of season 2 is the most exciting episode since the show started. The cinematography in this episode is Oscar-worthy! The fratricide between Erryk and Arryk left a deep impression on me when I read the novel. The director presented it in a different, equally moving, and unforgettable way in this episode.

The production, cinematography, and music are all top-notch. The plot is decent, too. But somehow, I struggle to get into it and keep up with the pace. After thinking about it, I realized the problem is that the characters are not that well-developed, and it feels rushed in every episode. I bet many viewers who haven't read the novel feel the same. So, these two seasons are really not captivating enough.

The "Game of Thrones" series boasts many characters with intricate relationships. Eight Seasons could never fully capture the extent of power struggles and complex emotions. However, the biggest drawback of "Game of Thrones" lies in its failure to delve into the character's inner thoughts; this series manages to make up for that. In many aspects, this show surpasses "Game of Thrones," particularly in terms of visual effects and the pacing of the storytelling. I'm genuinely surprised. However, the casting choices for this show could have been better.

It feels pretty average. Just a typical, mediocre show with a big budget for special effects. Unlike the premiere of "Game of Thrones," which had a profound sense of depth and weight, this one falls flat. The plot is clichéd, and the scenes of violence and bloodshed seem exaggerated just to show off how edgy the series can be. The character designs are so stereotypical that you can predict their behavior with a single glance, resulting in very one-dimensional, caricatured portrayals.

"Game of Thrones" was a legendary epic, but this show just feels like a run-of-the-mill palace drama in comparison. By the third episode, it became clear what the problem was. In the original series, every character was deeply involved in the game of thrones, and within just a few episodes, their personalities and family traits were vividly brought to life. The web of intrigue included despicable, sinister, and still noble figures. The main characters had distinct qualities that made them likable and relatable on some level. In this series, however, the characters lack any real personality.

I never expected the special effects to be the least interesting for me. The storytelling in the whole show is crystal clear, and it delves into the conflicts between the female and male lines of inheritance, which really aligns with the original work. The characters are portrayed so vividly thanks to the stellar performances of the cast. Even if you've never seen "Game of Thrones", you could still follow this story, but you'd miss out on a lot of fun. For "Game of Thrones" fans, hearing those familiar family names and that familiar music at the end really gives you goosebumps!
