The show shines in its moody aesthetic, striking costume design, and well-placed musical choices. While the story leans heavily on constant plot twists, few of them genuinely surprise viewers. Still, its themes about life, death, fear, and identity offer meaningful reflection even if the plotting falters.

Wednesday’s character arc completely unravels in the latter half, as she becomes arrogant, reckless, and self-righteous. She hurls accusations without evidence, insists on solving the mystery despite lacking the skills, and relies on clumsy deduction. The plot twists feel manufactured solely for drama, lacking careful narrative groundwork.

Since my childhood, I´m a big fan of Tim Burton. This show made me remember all the reasons.

Definitely fun. Jenna Ortega is super charismatic.

In most of Tim Burton's fantasy movies, you're supposed to put rationality aside and not get your hopes up for a coherent plot. Just roll with all the quirky characters and wild concepts for your own enjoyment. If you're like me, who have seen the first two Addams Family spin-offs without reading the books, or you're just not really into fantasy or Tim Burton. Or if you're a real die-hard goth fan—these movies might not be your cup of tea.

The overall style is really well done, but unfortunately, the plot is kinda weak, and many of the subplots are too simple. It feels like things happen and are resolved way too quickly. Yes, the actual meat and bones of the show don't match its polished visuals. However, I still quite like this show, despite it not being scary, and I'm looking forward to the second season. I also hope the academy's other "weirdos" can get more love from the director and showcase their abilities.

The plot started off strong, but the plot lost its mysterious aspects as it went on, which is a bummer. You could figure out the killer too easily. Honestly, I prefer watching scenes of their campus life. I really like Enid Sinclair and her boyfriend; they're both good-looking!

I can't think of a more perfect casting for Wednesday. The plot might be a bit hard to follow, and those anticipating a classic Addams Family reboot might be disappointed, but the show holds its own ground. It's entertaining, unique, and definitely worth watching. The cinematography is stunning, with everything revolving around Wednesday, making her stand out in every scene, even among a school full of "outcasts". I particularly liked the juxtaposition between Wednesday and her bubbly roommate.

At first, this seems like a Gothic twist on "The Addams Family", but in reality, it's a light mystery set in a school, kinda like "Harry Potter" but with a Gothic spin. The costumes are well-designed, but the main story is just too run-of-the-mill. Even the twist in the last episode, along with the big showdown, comes off a bit too childish.
