The third season is a huge improvement over the second, with each character's story being carefully and thoroughly developed. Everyone has their flaws, makes mistakes, and muddles through their lives and relationships. They're all vulnerable and courageous. In this season, everyone takes a step forward in their own way. That being said, this season doesn't feel preachy at all. It's handled with a light and humorous touch. I really enjoyed watching it.

The standard is still surprisingly high, but if you're only here for Otis's looks then ignore this one. I burst into tears at U2's WITH OR WITHOUT YOU in episode 6, it's all-round beautiful and precious. Sex Education ends here, and this will be the most meaningful 4 years of my life. The writers have done a great job of making every character three-dimensional, and if you rewatch the first season, you’ll find that the changes in character persona really make sense. We're all constantly becoming better people!

The biggest problem of the final season is still in the script, where the characters don't really fall apart but keep repeating themselves in stereotypical ways. The main characters are almost constantly in the process of self-contradiction and self-reconciliation, while the plot progresses in a common way. The original theme of Sex Education is almost gone, and the new characters are not explored and only serves as supporting characters. Everyone has happy endings, but I feel like Aimee's has the best. Anyway, it's over, and even though it's an uneventful ending, I'm still thankful for the companionship of this drama and the surprises it used to bring.

It's actually not that great as far as the story goes, but I'm tearing up for all the inclusion efforts done for every detail; these are probably more important in today's political climate. Maeve's letter to Otis at the end was really great: "You cracked my heart open, and now it's forever changed."

Such an appropriate but boring ending. The cast departures and changes had left a gap in the tension between the characters in season 3, and of course, the writers had no intention of trying to fix it. The entire show was skimmed over with the characters' development withering away into a disgusting happy ending.

Giving this a review out of goodwill towards the series, but the stale and declining quality of the scripts is all too apparent. In my opinion, the biggest problem with this season is that firstly, each character's storyline is much simpler and lacks credibility, the lack of effort put in and resulting shallowness is all too obvious. The content selection is formulaic and more didactic than comfortable. The later part of the story also seems to be healing for the sake of healing. Aside from Maeve and my favorite Ruby, the other characters really just don't have very good scenes. Past seasons all have a common overarching theme, but this season barely concludes with learning to let go, and the ending feels rather anti-climatic, like it doesn't have any buildup at all. What people love about this show though, is the strength it gives you to be courageous enough to be yourself to live your life, and let's just end it at that.

It's kinda sad to see this show end. Although there’re still a lot of touching scenes in the final season, it is the worst of the four seasons overall. The season got a lot longer yet the plot is flat and loose - various story strands intersperse with each other in a disjointed and haphazard way, feeling like a muddle to the end. The new school is a beautiful utopia, but somehow it feels like a cult, and the new characters are all boring.

Adorably awkward

This is the type of show we could just keep on watching forever, because regardless of age and relatability, it's just so damn pleasing and lovable in every way. Style-wise, it's also super versatile because although it feels modern, production design allows for great mixes with soundtrack from different eras that fit seamlessly with situations in the story, and it's been a delight to experience that. But let us not be fooled by the overwhelming feel-goodness of it, for the show is also brimming with the force and goal to break taboos when it comes to sex and bodies, and it very sensibly chooses to convey its message through a wide array of diversity in its characters and cast, whose performances really hit the spot at every turn.

Great Asa!

All my love to Asa Butterfield, one of my favorite actors. After seeing him in similar roles, this show is like a new challenge to him, which he plays brilliantly. And his beautiful accent is just another reason to watch it.

Essential

This show is unique because it’s both funny and dramatic. They send great messages about the most complex subjects while still dealing with others in a funny way. I need more seasons of it.

O padrão ainda é surpreendentemente alto, mas se você assiste apenas pelos looks de Otis, então ignore essa temporada. Eu chorei muito com a música With or Without You do U2 no episódio 6, é muito bonito e precioso.
