Honestly, this show is just a typical case of prioritizing style over story. Despite its stunning visuals, the storytelling isn't as authentic as it seems. It overlooks the characters' motivations and logic, just keeping building up suspense one after another. Even with its top-notch production quality, you'll find it's pretty hollow once you dig beneath the surface.

This sci-fi tale is told thoroughly and really pulls at your heartstrings. The production crew, from the producers to the writers and actors, all do a fantastic job. Even though the theme of robot awakening isn't groundbreaking, this show avoids falling into clichés. The top-notch special effects are as dazzling and lively as those in "Westworld." The show's pace is spot-on, ramping up gradually, keeping you engaged, and making a lasting impact. It's emotionally deep, with a touch of sadness and some truly touching moments.

If I hadn't watched the final episode, I'd probably give it a 6 out of 10. This series really ties together various storylines in a tight narrative structure across just ten episodes, leaving viewers guessing and shocking them with plot twists. The main theme revolves around awakening, cleverly disguised as AI. But when you think about it more deeply, we can all be considered higher-level AI, awakening through struggles, hitting walls, and eventually returning to where we started. Only a few people can make it to the end of the maze and really grasp who they are.

Many folks might get put off by the long, drawn-out talks and deep dive into philosophy, plus the slow storytelling, but to me, this show is a real standout that I stuck with all the way. It really goes deep into what it means to be human and the core of consciousness, asking questions that'll keep bugging us as long as we're around. Whether you're a person or a robot, whether memories are tampered with or not, how much does it all matter anyway? If it hits you in the gut, then it's the real deal.

Frighteningly real

These robots are scary. And I felt as confused as them. I love how the end of the first season blows my mind. What happened was totally unexpected and I had to read some comments after watching it to believe I had understood everything correctly.

The awakening of the machines

Even though at first the story seems a little confusing, it is capable of letting us understand how the mind works and how consciousness is obtained.

The Man in Black

Ed Harris’s performance as the classic Man in Black is one of the most memorable performances of the TV show, which merges science fiction innovation with the dusty and lonely western essence.
