BREAKING BAD is the peak of live-action series, it is the most well-known one and it succeeds at being the best in all regards.

One single phrase defines this series: "The best product television has ever made." Yes, this series, with only five seasons, is capable of marking our lives and moving us like television never has before. I believe this is a landmark in the evolution of TV, showing that quality is not found only in cinema.

A highly recommended masterpiece! The first season's seven episodes exhibit remarkable coherence. The exhilarating pace of the initial two episodes leaves one craving for more, while the subsequent three episodes resemble standalone art films, eschewing the initial dramatic flair to focus on the struggles of ordinary people in real life. The conclusion spanning the final two episodes doesn't disappoint either. The series excels in its perfectly balanced dark humor, cinematography, music, and performances—everything is top-notch!

The plot was written to be commercially successful despite its literary contexts, all while remaining accessible to audiences. In many ways, it reminds me of Raymond Carver—the immense pressure of everyday life, the intricacies of human relationships, and even the artistry, all shine brightest within this style. It's simultaneously the most ordinary and most extraordinary; truly a sophisticated drama.

An essential watch. Brilliant. The character of Walter White is quite an character study in itself. The archetypes are reduced to the essential minimum: from the beginning where it seems that each of the characters is easy to label, an outstanding evolution is observed. The concept of good and evil, the good and bad, so typical and burdensome in American cinema, is diluted. Everything is much more complex, questionable. It gives for continuous debates in the most diverse fields.

It took some time until it makes me want to sit down and binge-watch it. Season one is not catchy, but if you have patience you won’t want to stop from season two on. The characters grow and develop in a way that we can’t just divide them into good and bad guys. Everything becomes deeper and harder, and then it’s worth watching.

La serie es maravillosa, solo el final pudo haber sido mejor, en cuanto a actuación, cinematografía y guión todo es excelente.

Amo essa série, ela mostra a jornada do monstruoso Walter White foi das mais extraordinária vistas nas telinhas. A fotografia, a direção de arte e o roteiro são brilhantes. Mas o que chama atenção mesmo são as atuações sobrenaturais de Bryan Cranston e Aaron Paul.
