Great commentary on the commodification of people and the behind the scenes of people who portray themselves as perfect.

This movie has a cool retro feel, but even though it's a horror movie, it's not all that scary. It's cleverly done as a fake 1980s TV talk show, all about these wild stories of possession with magicians, psychics, and other wild characters. It's like watching a live show. However, since it's presented as a recording of the show and everything that happens behind the scenes from the get-go, the main guy just feels like he's pretending or acting, not really being genuine, because his actions just don't make sense to me.

This movie visually feels like it was straight out of the '70s, like those vintage photos that got an AI upgrade. It has a blurry charm, but it's still clear and unique. The story is intense, keeps a great pace, and keeps me on the edge of my seat, like watching a live TV show with all these hilarious and special guests. It reminded me of that wild scene in "Joker" where he's on TV. Overall, it's a super intriguing horror movie with a lot of fun; it's definitely worth watching.

This film seems to introduce a new style of horror, with the initial setup, atmosphere, and interactions being quite engaging. However, it fails to fully deliver on the horror front. The director tries to touch on elements like the occult, cults, hypnosis, and sacrifice, but none of these themes are explored deeply enough to leave a lasting impact.

The ending is rather underwhelming. After so much buildup, the conclusion feels rushed. The concept and format are intriguing, but the film leaves you wanting more as it restrains itself too much in the storytelling. Honestly, the late-night show at the heart of the film remains dull, and the host lacks any distinctive personality.

The film’s concept is quite intriguing, almost making the audience feel as though they were part of a 1970s late-night show. Despite having lots of dialogue and few horror scenes, the movie is engaging and immersive. The retro visuals and makeup, combined with the worms and blood, transport viewers back to the classic exorcism era of the ’70s. The ending felt a bit rushed—it might have been even more effective if the show had turned into a hypnotic, cult-like spectacle that blurred reality, trapping the characters in it.

The film’s atmosphere is spot-on, and it’s clear that it was made on a modest budget. The pacing is well-executed, and the lead actor’s performance was so convincing that I thought his side job must be as a talk show host. I also enjoyed the abrupt ending during the climax, leaving me wanting more. However, the film’s depiction of the cult behind the protagonist was too brief, leaving me confused when the protagonist drank from the Holy Grail amidst a group of owls. Yet, since the movie is centered on the talk show, the lack of focus on these details is understandable.

#AMC# The concept of a late-night talk show in a horror movie does have potential. However, they still have some work to do in terms of execution. Personally, I feel like they could take it in a more satirical direction, tackling current issues and going for more of a psychological thriller. They could even explore the artistic styles in movies like "American Horror Story" or "Alien." Sadly, it seems like they're just stuck in their current state without further innovation.

This movie really nails the retro vibes of the 70s and 80s TV shows and captures the whole cult atmosphere of that era. But honestly, it's not that scary. There are only a few scenes with real "ghosts," and the rest of the film is more about setting the mood. The downside is that they didn't do a great job explaining the devil aspect, and the ending feels rushed, which is kind of a letdown.

Even though the ending seemed a bit rushed and predictable, this movie is still one of the top horror flicks in recent years, delivering an awesome viewing experience for the audience. The way it's filmed pulls you in and blows your mind. It's impressive how this film immediately grabs the audience's attention with its clever mockumentary style, even though I'm not usually into live talk shows. Plus, the retro vibe and the worm warning are very cool additions.

Watching this movie reminds me of when I watched "The Holdovers" last year. Some movies are great because they have a unique vibe that sets them apart from modern films. Similarly, this film fully embraces the style of 70s TV shows and creates a pseudo-documentary by seamlessly transitioning between scenes involving the actors and the behind-the-scenes crew. The scare factor doesn't cut it for me, perhaps because I'm not easily frightened. But watching this movie is akin to enjoying some classic cult films—truly entertaining.
