Richard_MathewsJuly 22, 2024It's a solid movie overall, with some scenes that really tug at your heartstrings and make you think. But the first half drags a bit and can get kind of dull. Plus, it feels a little forced when they use special effects in this real-world story. And let's be real, the editing and storytelling aren't always seamless, which takes away from the overall experience. And the music relies too heavily on strings for the emotional scenes. It's almost like it's trying too hard to be sentimental and it just throws off the pacing.

Candice_GonzalezJuly 22, 2024This is a super heartwarming movie for kids. I think the director didn't go too deep into societal issues because they wanted to keep it kid-friendly. The hardest part for me was watching the little girl lose her mom – it was really poignant. But the other characters are adorable, and the special effects are awesome. The music really adds a lot to the emotional scenes. Still, it would've been even better if the movie had shown more of the little girl's personality or explained why adults need "IF."

David_MosesJuly 22, 2024The pacing felt a little choppy to me, and the story jumped around a bit. And when it came to the final twist, I had a feeling about it coming when we got to the amusement park scene, but I brushed it off. The story is predictable, I guess? Despite that, the story flows pretty well, and Blue is too cute!

Barbara_HurstJuly 22, 2024It was so touching in a way I wasn't expecting. It's like a fairy tale for adults, with a mix of warmth and subtle sadness. It feels like our imagination gradually fades as we age, and we're left to deal with life's challenges independently. But this film reminds us that rediscovering our memories and imagination is a kind of self-love, like a hug for our inner child. It shows us that our deepest companionship often comes from within.

Angelica_JenningsJune 23, 2024I actually really enjoy how the story unfolds, although it might seem a bit cliché from today's perspective. It's perhaps a movie for families. I think it would have been better if they had made it more like a horror film. However, overall, the middle parts of the movie feel pretty average, and it seems like quite a few things are left unexplained.

Ronald_MoranJune 23, 2024This story is basically a fairytale for adults. The cinematography, costumes, and music are all stunning, but there's one drawback - the acting isn't perfect. Specifically, the two child actors need to work on their acting, and the two male actors' performances feel a bit formulaic, which makes their emotional expressions seem unnatural. Additionally, the plot feels disjointed, and the pacing can be confusing. Personally, I don't think the part about the nursing home is necessary, and the characters' facial expressions appear exaggerated and unnatural.

Audrey_BurnsJune 6, 2024The underground-world scenes are incredibly imaginative that they become almost the sole source of intrigue in the entire movie, thanks to the impressive special effects. However, too many characters suffer from limited screen time, and the film tackles too many issues within its storytelling process. It relies on twists to create emotional moments in the third act, but unfortunately, they don't quite deliver as intended, hampered by weak emotional portrayals and unclear narrative. Moreover, the slow pace further dampens the overall story, resulting in a somewhat mediocre and dull experience.

Felix_HahnJune 6, 2024
Felix_HahnJune 6, 2024This movie is perfect for parents to watch with their kids, as it is filled with humor and warmth. However, the pacing tends to be slow in most parts of the film, and the two main storylines only intertwine towards the end with a touching twist that connects the entire story. The pacing could benefit from some improvement. Several characters have insignificant roles and lack standout qualities. The performances of the two young actors could also be better.

Shannon_GatesJune 6, 2024Before watching, I had anticipated a greater presence of imaginary friends in the plot, but it seems that the movie primarily revolves around Bea and her imaginary friend, Calvin. The imaginary friends, voiced by well-known actors, only have a few lines. Well, now I understand it was just a gimmick. The imaginary friends are cute, but it feels a bit awkward to see the director appear in the film. Perhaps my expectations were too high.

John_GardnerJune 6, 2024Approach this movie from a rational standpoint. You might find that it can be a bit heavy-handed, especially with the female lead's character development and the supporting characters' emotional arcs. However, the true beauty of this film lies in its ability to resonate with the most tender parts of your emotions.

Brianna_RatcliffJune 6, 2024This movie has a Y2K dream core style that really caught my attention. It tells an idealistic fairy tale, offering a brief escape from the exhaustion and cruelty of adult life. While the storyline may not be groundbreaking, it's incredibly emotional and healing. Even though I could predict the ending from the start, I still appreciated the creativity and heartwarming moments in this film.

Wesley_SpearsMay 22, 2024
Wesley_SpearsMay 22, 2024This plot is just so bad. The pacing feels off, and the details are not well-balanced. On top of that, there are way too many overly emotional moments that become tiresome. The different childhood friend characters and the segment with the friend's hotel during the journey showed great imagination. However, the filmmakers seemed to be trying a bit too hard to cater to all audiences, but unfortunately, they missed the mark.
