Profoundly deep and gently human, Everything Everywhere All at Once is the kind of film that holds you with laughter, breaks you open with tears, and then asks you to look at your own life a little more tenderly. It is wildly imaginative, visually stunning, and effortlessly funny, yet beneath all the chaos is a quiet kindness that stays with you. I have never laughed this hard, cried this honestly, or reflected this deeply over a single film in 2025, let alone experienced all of it in one sitting. It truly feels like a reminder to choose love, even in a universe that feels overwhelming. This film was, in every sense, everything, everywhere, all at once.

I'm usually not a huge fan of multiverse, but this movie was something different.

Stripping away its flashy elements, this is essentially a kung fu comedy. The mother-daughter dynamic feels forced and underdeveloped, though it could be compared to "Turning Red". The multiverse gimmicks mainly serve to provide Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan more screen time. Personally, I found Ke Huy Quan’s performance more compelling and outstanding.

The initial allure of "Everything Everywhere All at Once" quickly dissipates after the first thirty minutes, leaving viewers exhausted. This fatigue stems from a lack of emotional range and a hasty resolution to a profound question. The central antagonist is nihilism, and the film explores how to cope when life seems like a meaningless game.

It’s Not a Bagel, It’s LOVE

The most beautiful reconciliation an East Asian family can think of: fighting and killing at the tax bureau, signing a divorce agreement, reaching a grand reconciliation between the three generations of grandparents and grandchildren under the situation that cannot be broken anymore, understanding that you have failed and I have failed, and we have all failed.

I file taxes every year, and the washing machine that rotates every day has always been a circle, as if the black hole is a black everything bagel. Love is not blindly grasping, love is accepting chaos, learn to let go, "I give you freedom / I give you the last gentleness of love", this sentence should be recited deeply regardless of love or family affection. I cried when I saw the stone rolling down the mountain. How imagination the director can imagine to visualize all this visual effect!
