This is a modern fairy tale for otakus. The movie captures the ultimate beauty of light and shadow. If a film can be visually beautiful, emotional, and unforgettable without relying on a strong narrative, this one proves it. Honestly, the French aesthetics is infused in every shot, and each frame is visually striking, charming, and unique.

Love waits for no one. If you don’t get on with it now, you might never have another chance.

This movie is about how to convince yourself to entertain yourself after realizing the loneliness of life. You don't need to be righteous, beautiful, or young. You just need to be alive and see that everyone has their quirks, their obsessions, and their fear of not being loved. This is what the beauty and meaning of life are.

If you're into it, you'll be totally hooked. But if it's not your thing, you might find yourself drifting off. All I can say is, it’s perfect for rewatching from time to time.

Amélie (Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain) stands as one of the most charming, unique, and sweetest films ever created. This beautifully crafted, exquisitely told, and gorgeously rendered story explores the simple pleasures in life, revealing their true value. Throughout its runtime, the film encourages us to pause and appreciate the small wonders that surround us at all times.

Emily suffers a unfortunate childhood, because when her father makes healthy examination to her, discover her heartbeat is too fast, concludes she suffers from heart disease. from then on Emily is forbidden to going to school. Then, because of an accident, her mother died suddenly in front of her eyes. None of this affected Emily's open-minded optimism about life.
In 1997, the death of Princess Diana made her feel lonely and fragile in her life. From then on, Emily started a series of helping projects, including an elderly neighbor who was autistic and depressed, a stall clerk who was terribly treated by the boss, an old landlord who lost his childhood utensils, and a coffee shop colleague who was frustrated in love. But she never expected that Nino , an adult video store clerk, would become her target, and Emily would start an alternative plan that would make people laugh and cry.
