As one of the few Disney animations featuring Native Hawaiians, "Lilo & Stitch" is a heartwarming film with an exceptional soundtrack. The plot might not be wildly dramatic, but it is tightly executed without being draggy. The theme of "family" is beautifully and thoroughly expressed. I highly recommend this film!

While it enjoys rave reviews, I find it average. The beginning of the film slightly resembles early sci-fi animations, giving it a nostalgic feel. The middle part, detailing Stitch's arrival on Earth, tells a heartfelt story of an orphaned family's struggles. The happy ending is rather predictable and not particularly stunning. If there's something noteworthy, it would be the emphasis on the spirit of commitment and the rule of law at the conclusion.

This underrated Disney film is actually on par with the others in terms of its concept and music. It metaphorically represents us all as cosmic fragments, exiled to an island called Earth, seeking to form familial bonds that constitute a family.

Among all of Disney's animations, "Lilo & Stitch" holds a special place in my heart, perhaps because it is Disney's last feature to use hand-painted watercolor backgrounds, making every frame breathtakingly beautiful. It stands as my favorite Disney animation without a doubt.

It's one of the few Disney animated movies with an American Indian culture. The story isn't convoluted but it's still neat and tight. Of all the Disney animated films, this inexplicably steals my heart. Maybe it's because it's the last Disney animated film with hand-painted watercolor backgrounds, and every picture is beautiful; or maybe it's because I empathized with the native Hawaiian sisters in it; or maybe it's simply because I like Stitch. But in short, it's my favorite Disney animated film.

The rating is high, but I found it average. The beginning of the movie is a bit reminiscent of early alien sci-fi animation, yhe middle part is about an orphaned family struggling to make ends meet, and the ending is of course a happy one, so it’s pretty average, or at least to me, not amazing. If there's anything redeeming about it, I think the ending's delivery on the theory of social contract and legal consciousness is a highlight.

Unexpected family

If you really love your pet, it doesn’t matter if it comes from the street, a shelter or an alien planet. A movie about family love and value.

Sometimes family can be chosen

Families come in different sizes and shapes, and they are the ones who support you in your most difficult times. “Lilo & Stitch” demonstrates this through a beautiful animated story with an exceptional soundtrack.
