Cathy_HorneJuly 4, 2025“Hardcore Henry” deserves credit as a landmark in Russian visual storytelling. It fuses the immersive feel of first-person shooters with cinematic language—GoPro-style long takes, frenetic cuts, stylized flashbacks. It’s a bold experiment in merging two narrative forms.

Alisha_HendersonJuly 1, 2025The first-person gimmick is striking and effective, but it comes at a cost. The tight POV limits spatial awareness and sacrifices dynamic staging—many scenes needed wider or alternate angles to be more impactful. And with no cutaways, there’s little room to develop supporting characters either.
